WELDING
Operates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such flux-cored arc, shielded metal arc and submerged arc welding.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Recognize, set up, and operates hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
Hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts of warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materials.
Examine work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
Position, align, and secure multiple parts using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Applicant should have a working knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Problem solving abilities pertaining to all welding functions and be able to determine the appropriate tools and equipment needed to do a job.
• The ability to see details at close range while doing all job functions.
• Individual will also need the ability to make precise coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
• Individual must observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources before starting a project and perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials in a safe and effective manner.
PLASMA TABLE OPERATOR
Operates hand held cutting equipment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Set-up, program, adjust and operate, a computer operated Plasma/plate cutting machine, to cut single or multiple pieces from sheet and plate stock material.
Be able to select tips and adjust torches.
Read blue prints, specifications and other requirements as directed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Must be able to lift 50-60 lbs.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
•Must be able to read drawings, weld symbols, and other specifics as directed.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact well with other employees.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Additional education in technical field preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in plasma cutting.
CIVIL-STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
Provides timely, accurate, and cost efficient structural engineering services both in the office and in the field, if necessary. Responsibilities include planning, design and fabrication of steel structures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides analysis & take off for project bids.
Provides guidance for projects upon purchase order being issued.
Will communicate with our customers to provide timelines and project updates as needed.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule during times of peak of business demand.
Provide excellent customer service to the company’s customers.
Must be able to interpret engineer’s design & construction drawings.
Provide structural design of all steel and aluminum structures.
Report progress to chief engineer.
Provide direction and review for and support to the group by leading design aspects of projects; instructing, training, and mentoring group members and support staff; and adhering to project budget and schedule.
Confer with project team members and clients to prepare and participate in project proposals and interviews.
Use computer assisted engineering, design, and drafting software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
Understand and follow company established standard CADD procedures for file structure and standard drawing procedures for projects.
This position has the potential to be, or to develop into, a leadership position with a supervisory role depending on experience. Individuals with more experience have the opportunity to supervise staff and coordinate business development for the company.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Strong computer skills, detail-oriented, self-starter, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Knowledgeable in latest editions of the AISC Steel Construction Manual.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have the ability to work efficiently with little or no supervision.
• Experience with writing detailed reports highly preferred.
• Familiar with RISA 3D, Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office products.
• Exercise independent thinking, creativity, and initiative in the performance of these duties.
Must have excellent overall computer skills.
Applicant must be a registered, Professional Engineer (P.E.), licensed or eligible for license in North Dakota and individual states as necessary for project work load.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• A Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university is required.
• A PE (Professional Engineer) license is highly desired.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, other engineering disciplines will also be considered with relevant work experience.
